Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Southeastern is hosting its first REAL MEN SING Day on Saturday, August 24, 2019. This workshop is designed to bring boys and men (ages 5th-12th grade and ages 18+) together of all ages and promote singing for LIFE. It will also help high school men prepare the LA-ACDA Men’s Honor Choir Music and LMEA 1st Round All-State Music.
The day will be filled with sectionals and full rehearsals with Southeastern students, Northlake Performing Arts Society members and hopefully many middle, junior high and high school singers. Our clinician is Brandon Williams from Rutgers University. There will be opportunities for students to ask questions about college vocal auditions, opportunities for voice masterclasses, and a short performance by the Southeastern Choirs. Plan to arrive at 8:30 am. The full day will run from 9 am – 4 pm.
Repertoire: TBA but we do plan to sing the LA-ACDA Men’s ACDA Audition piece:
If Ye Love Me -Thomas Tallis / arranged by Randall Hooper
Music is linked above but we will provide copies of all music for the event. No preparation required.
Registration Fee and Lunch will cost $10 per person. This includes purchase of the choral music and lunch.
See the attached flyer and go to this link for registration information and payment.
